Pelican Sculpture in Lafreniere Park
- JBI is working with Jefferson Parish and Scott Hebert of Abear Artworks to construct a large-scale sculpture to be placed in Lafreniere Park. The sculpture will be 18’ tall and made out of aluminum. It will consist of four columns and 8 large pelicans, 2 pelicans per column. The pelicans will be approximately 3’ long from the tip of the beak to the tip of the tail with a wing span of approximately 6’. There will be a water line with fish approximately 4’ to 5’ above the base. The sculpture will be primed with acid etching primer, then painted and clear coated with automotive products.
